As UX designer, you will be responsible for how the digital interfaces of our 3 products feel, i.e. the carrier app (used by 500+ carriers), the customer dashboard (for our 5400+ customer users) and the operator dashboard (for our soon-to-be 50 or so internal users).

You will also lead the creation of a new product interface: the carrier company dashboard, where a company can manage its carriers and delivery assignments.

You will own the user adoption performance metrics of new product developments and leverage both quantitative and qualitative data to generate insights for product iterations.

You will leverage your understanding of users’ emotional and functional needs to create an enjoyable experience and an intuitive adoption of product features. You will use analytics and creativity to solve UX problems.

As a UX, you are not a UI designer (you will work with the UI designer and our design system) and report directly to the Head of Product.

What will be your responsibilities ?

Understand needs:

  • Understand user psychology and behaviour through research and interviews
  • Create personas and usage scenarios through user research and data
  • Write and/or refine user scenarios in product requirement documents
  • Conduct competitor and user research to analyse the best practices

Create solutions:

  • Define the right user interaction model and evaluate its success
  • Create wireframes and solicit critique
  • Conduct concept testing to gather feedback
  • Work with the UI designer to ensure the intended experience is achieved in the visual design. Challenge his mockup proposals

Assess and iterate:

  • Analyse user feedback and activity, crunch data and evaluate user recordings
  • Conduct usability and user tests to determine further improvements
  • Iterate on ideas based upon validated learning, critique, and collaboration

Collaborate effectively:

  • Communicate design ideas and prototypes to internal stakeholders
  • Mobilise stakeholders to generate the right ideas, e.g. through brainstorming and worst possible ideas
  • Work closely with designers, product owners and engineers to ensure the experience is being interpreted and implemented correctly
  • Assist with content development

What are our requirements ?

  • 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in creating and implementing UX design
  • Problem-solving aptitude
  • Analytical mind with a business acumen
  • Continued education and research into UX trends and current design strategy and technologies
  • Understanding of visual design principles of hierarchy, alignment, composition, grids, balance, and layout
  • Professional written and interpersonal skills when communicating with customers and clients
  • Should be fluent in English and French, must be based in Brussels, Belgium
